20160321 Special concert to commemorate the centenary of the 1916 Easter rising

THE CHOIRS OF BOTH WAH YANS PEFORMING IN A SPECIAL CONCERT TO COMMEMORATE THE CENTENARY OF THE 1916 EASTER RISING

To mark this seminal event in Ireland’s path to independence, the Consulate General of Ireland is hosting a special concert in the School Hall of Wah Yan College Hong Kong, home to the Irish Jesuits since 1926, to bring together local, Irish and expatriate musicians, dancers & readers including Greg Harrington (violinist), Irishtown (traditional Irish music group) and Marita Conlon McKenna (author). The event will be opened by the choirs of the Wah Yan boys with an exhibition on the 1916 legacy beforehand.
