I wrote this orbituary in memory of my dear  71’classmate,  Li Shing Fu, who passed away on 24.10.2025.  He was our class prefect for upper six and had the enviable job of relaying our message to Mr Bio Chan that the class was not in the mood and would take the afternoon off to see a movie rather than attending his class. He was also my hall mate in Ricci Hall in HKU for one year. He had always been a pillar of strength and was just like a big brother to me. I still have in my possession the many encouraging messages he wrote me while I was studying in Ireland. After he emigrated to Canada, I heard he developed renal failure and had a renal transplant.  I was privileged to be able to repay my indebtedness to Shing Fu in a small way by removing his gall bladder in aftermath of SARS.

I’m shocked to hear the bad news. Rest in peace, my dear friend.
